Door Photography

Photography of doors is simple and interesting. If you see a unique door, take a picture of it and try to learn the story of the house and the story behind the door.

The hand stamp on the wall was made by the hand of a bride that was dipped into blood of a sheep as a sign that will protect the house from bad angels and other misfortunes. This tradition may have been common many years ago when the the couple moved to the house.

The door in the picture tells story of historic place, old house that was built century ago. The wooden beam /log above the door that holds the wall above it. it’s amazing how strong the wood can be for such a long time.

door The door in the picture was made for a rich person that was living in this house. The house is located minutes from the old city market place.
Notice the quality of the curved wood that was made by hands. The old handle which is not fancy and should have been upgraded by the current owner.

There are things that make us turn a look, missing a beat, stop in, get excited, to stand open-mouthed in front of the most amazing thing I've ever seen. This is the place to let the imagination take off, go wild, make the entrance to a source of inspiration, admiration and compliments all the time.

Make your photography of door inspire.

In our days, doors are also built from wood with similar layout and colors.

Wood door would need maintenance more than a metal door.

Metal door are less romantic than wood doors which have a warm look, but they can also be a nice alternative as in the picture below.
