Animals in the nature

Taking pictures of animals in their natural environment is always a challenge. This is why you must have a long range lens as 70-255 , 75-300 and more.

Keep in mind that stabilizer can help a lot since you are shooting photos in a dynamic and unexpected environment and your object may be on the move at any second.

Also, in many times, you cannot pick up the best position for light , so you must do your best and take many pictures as you can.

Here is a picture of a female ibex that went down , 20 minutes before the resort is closed for visitors in order to get some drink from the river below.

The photo was taken in Ein-Gedi in Judea desert /Israel

See what you can do with photo editor (as photoshop etc)

I got lucky to have my 70-300 Canon IS lens that I used to take the following closeup:

Few minutes from there, down to the entrance of the resort, I saw a family of Rock Hyrax . The mother & father were on standby escape or attack mode and was watching my actions and movements, while the puppies were looking for the mother protection or milk.

The habitat space of the ibex and the Rock Hyrax is shown in the pictures blow.

View of the mountains were the ibex is most of the say. Due of his color, it is not easy to notice it from a distance.
